The couple we have today is someone who is not just sweet but they know our potential and give us the freedom to experiment and enjoy their events. They’re a dynamic duo filled with class, grace and elegance and they rock the stage with their beautiful dance moves. This was the second time they exchanged vows with one another. Yes, it calls for a celebration when a couple has been together for a quarter of a century. Manoj and Mamta are the perfect examples that age is just a number when you are in love with your partner because they enjoyed the events just like they did it for the first time. A couple’s 25th anniversary is just as, if not more, special as their wedding. It is meant to honour their journey and strong bond. So for Mr and Mrs Dugar, we designed lavish celebrations that went on for three days and left everyone with many precious memories
The #25YearsOfManma was full of experiments, techniques and communication. The client was from Bangalore, YDD was operating from its home branch – Kolkata and the event was in Kuber Palace, Sardarsahar. But the fun begins now – Sardarshahar is a small city in the Churu district of Rajasthan (You might have to use google maps). It’s a 4-hour long drive from Jaipur City. Thus, we had to make sure that none of our guests gets uneasy or uncomfortable from the long road journey because the guest list included people travelling from neighbouring countries as well. We made a provision to make this ride an experience to remember for our guest by giving them treatment just like you experience in an aircraft. The ride was full of cultural acts, music, food and entertainment.
At Kuber Palace, the guests were personally welcomed by the Dugar family while the DJ made them groove on some Bollywood tunes at the entrance. The festivities began with ‘A trip down the memory lane’ which was a retro-themed party that the couple threw in honour of their younger days. This party served up a heavy dose of retro Bollywood, and the dress code requested everyone to wear outfits with polka dots, bell bottoms, ruffles and everything 70s on it. The idea was to rewind time and let everyone relive the fun of the 70-80s era. The event was perfectly supported by a family performance which quickly showcased the couple’s journey followed by people dancing on the floor to the tunes of the band – Gigveda from Delhi.
The Rajasthani themed Mehendi was a super vibrant and colourful affair marked with bright hues of yellow, orange, pink, and green. Multi-hued drapes, hanging lamps, thread and gotta garlands, signboards, marigold arrangements, hanging puppets, and traditional elemental decor that included, royal style seating areas, a phoolon ka cabana. While Kachi Ghodi and Rajasthani dancers welcomed the guests at the entrance, the venue was jazzed up by the band Karwaan from Jaipur, quirky favour stations, Bioscope, Mehendi artist and an astrology counter kept people engaged and entertained throughout.
‘The bling affair’ was the title for the second evening, the white and gold themed sangeet was all about glitz and glamour. Floral arrangements, warm lighting, and bling made up for the entire décor. The vibe for the night was a perfect blend of formal yet glamorous and intimate yet extravagant. The couple expressed their thanks to their family and friends for their presence. The evening was filled with dance performances by the duos nearest and dearest ones.
The fun & romantic Haldi was an all aquamarine and floral hued affair with pretty drapes teamed with peach ones stealing the show. Floral jewellery stalls, floral jhula, pottery and loads of activities set the tone for the ceremony. The couple made an entry with dholis and guests showering flower petals on them. Since we were in Sardarsahar and the region is famous for it’s “Chung” we called Chung Party to entertain our guest with melodious traditional Holi songs which ended up into floral holi making everyone covered in petals of rose and marigold. Not opting for the conventional stage and instead of going around and mingling and taking pictures with everybody, the couple yet again did something unconventional.
The couple’s quirky wedding-cum-reception was a fulfilling affair made for a fitting end to the three-day-long gala on a happy note. The couple made a fairy-tale-like entry on a white chariot decked up with flowers and firecrackers. While the vows were taken with a funny family act, the guests witnessed an enthralling performance by Sufi Rock Band from Delhi. Themed around glitter and glamour, ivory and blingy affair. Marked with ivory seating couches, floral arrangements, cascading shimmery strings and crystal garlands and oversized centrepieces, the entire place looked glam and glistening.
With immaculately planned ceremonies, a flawless couple looks, and vibes with bespoke crafted elegance and zeal, Manoj & Mamta’s 25th wedding anniversary was a perfectly knit masterpiece. One look at the event photos and you won’t be able to stop wondering how romantic and happy the celebration actually was to live through.
